News & Notes
Dak Prescott has been diagnosed with a strained muscle in his throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike McCarthy noted the team is "just being more conservative" with the big picture in mind. For now, keep Dak Prescott locked in as a top-five fantasy option for 2021. Also, keep Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb, and Amari Cooper atop your fantasy rankings. Carson Wentz underwent surgery on his left foot Monday, August 2nd. The Colts are putting Wentz's timeline at 5-to-12 weeks, which likely means likely missing Week 1 and possibly longer. Jonathan Taylor gets bumped down from my RB4 to RB7. All Colts wide receivers receive a massive downgrade as second-year quarterback Jacob Eason will take over starting duties. Michael Pittman is the only receiver I'd take a shot on in the late rounds of your draft. Andy Dalton is reportedly still on track to be the Chicago Bears Week 1 starter. Allen Robinson's fantasy value remains capped as a high-end WR2. David Montgomery remains a high-volume RB2. Darnell Mooney is a stash until Justin Fields eventually takes over soon after the season starts. CALLING MY SHOT - Fields will make his first start in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions.
