Waiver Wire Pickups
Let's get to the players you should consider picking up if they are available in your league: With the Warriors trading MULTIPLE players in exchange for MULTIPLE drafts picks, Eric Paschall and Marquese Chriss are the only big men left standing in Golden State. Paschall's development figures to be a high priority heading into next season, so he deserves a look in ALL leagues. Chriss has been playing very well over the past week averaging 10.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in 26 minutes. Last call on Christian Wood! Wood started last Friday's game following the departure of Andre Drummond and put up 27 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes. Open a new tab on your browser and check to see if he's available in your league. If he is somehow available, ADD HIM IMMEDIATELY. Shabazz Napier dawned three jerseys in less than two days. He was traded to the Nuggets last Wednesday then flipped to the Wizards on the very next day. Talk about a whirlwind! For those of you in need of point guard stats, Napier is your guy. He should eventually supersede Ish Smith in the starting lineup in Washington. He's worth an add if you're willing to be patient. Damion Lee is a HUGE winner following all of the trades that the Warriors made. He's the only Warriors guard I trust to deliver consistent fantasy value for the rest of the season. Derrick Jones Jr. has been a Top 25 player over the past week with averages of 14.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 2.3 3-pointers in 32 minutes. Ride the wave! Speaking of riding the wave, Danuel House Jr. is loving life right now averaging 16 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.0 blocks, 3.8 3-pointers all while shooting 48% from the field. As long as the Rockets are playing micro-ball, House Jr. should be added and started in ALL leagues. Did I mention he is a Top 10 player over the past week? Dorian Finney-Smith KEEPS PRODUCING. He's been a favorite streamer of mine all season, but I think it's time for him to be owned in MUCH more leagues because of the elite 3&D stats he's currently providing. Following the trade to Minnesota, Malik Beasley finally gets a shot at playing heavy minutes on a team lacking depth. He is a speculative add that could pay dividends for those in 16-plus team leagues. The fourth Warrior to show up on this list, Ky Bowman has agreed to a multi-year contract with the Warriors. Bowman is the only true point guard on this team, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him put up Top 100 stats until Stephen Curry returns to the court.
