Fantasy Football: Week 10 Waiver Wire

Updated: Nov 15, 2020

With week 9 out of the way, we will be diving into an early look at my top waivers for week 10 to help you gain the edge on the competition.

QB

Drew Lock (Den)

  • Rostered: 20% (Yahoo), 13% (ESPN)

Featured in my last article, Lock remains one of my top waivers in week 10. Coming off a game where he put up over 300 passing yards and 2 TDs against ATL, while also scrambling for 47 yards and another TD to pad those fantasy points. Den plays LV, who has the 26th rank pass defense which gives Lock another favorable matchup.

Nick Foles (Chi)

  • Rostered: 10% (Yahoo), 14% (ESPN)

Foles racked up 335 yards and 2 TDs against a weak Tennessee pass defense, and will face an even weaker opponent against Minnesota. The Bears should find themselves trying to keep up with the unstoppable D.Cook, and will be met with minimum resistance.

Derek Carr (LV)

  • Rostered: 42% (Yahoo), 48% (ESPN)

The Broncos Defense has given up 3 passing TDs in 2 straight games to opposing QBs, And I can’t see this week going any different. I also expect Denver’s offense to be very effective, leaving the Raiders in a more pass oriented game plan.

RB

Wayne Gallman (NYG)

  • Rostered: 25% (Yahoo), 20% (ESPN)

Gallman has put up at least 11 standard fantasy points in his last three games, and is averaging over 14 touches per game in that stint. The Eagles have also allowed 158 rushing yards per game in the last 3 contests. Look for Gallman to see a bump in an already impressive streak, so grab him while you can.

Gus Edwards (Bal)

  • Rostered: 37% (Yahoo), 11% (ESPN)

Edwards' value this week is completely dependent on whether or not M.Ingram plays. Garnering at least 11 carries in the last 3 weeks, and scoring in each of those games, Edwards will go up against a poor rush defense in New England in what will be a run heavy game for the Ravens.

J.D. McKissic (Wsh)

  • Rostered: 24% (Yahoo), 34% (ESPN)

We all know A.Smith loves passing to his RBs and last week is a prime example. MicKissic, the primary pass catcher out of the backfield for Washington, saw an outstanding 14 targets. Turning all those targets into 65 yards on 9 catches is worth a significant note and a spot on your roster.

WR

Tim Patrick (Den)

  • Rostered: 21% (Yahoo) 15% (ESPN)

Patrick has been a boom or bust player all season, but week 10 is adding up to be a boom him. Los Vegas gave up over 300 passing yards last week, and what should be a high scoring game this week, the Denver wideout is poised to grab himself a piece of the pie.

Richie James (SF)

  • Rostered: 2% (Yahoo) 0.1% (ESPN)

I understand a single breakout game from an unheard of player can usually be dismissed, but this is not one of those scenarios. Even if the 49ers get some of their other weapons back, you can't simply ignore 9 catches for 184 yards and a score. What coach looks at that stat line and decides not to utilize such an obviously effective receiver?

Jakobi Meyers (NE)

  • Rostered:12% (Yahoo), 6% (ESPN)

After watching Cam target this guy far more than any other receiver last week, Meyers has set himself as a favorite for a former MVP QB. The Pats also face the Jets this week, so fantasy production for the New England receiver shouldn’t be much of a problem.

TE

Jordan Reed (SF)

  • Rostered: 23% (Yahoo), 25% (ESPN)

With as empty the TE tank is this year, Reed makes up for a rath decent pick up this week. We know from the past that Reed is a talented receiver, and probably one of the best ones the 49ers have left. We also know that the 49ers love to utilize TEs, and with R.James breaking out, the field could potentially open up for the skilled TE.

Jimmy Graham (Chi)

  • Rostered: 49% (Yahoo), 56% (ESPN)

Give me some Graham. After catching All of his targets for 6rec 55yrds and a score, Graham finally put up some decent numbers. I already said earlier in this article that QB N.Foles will be looking to have a heavy pass game against a porous Minnesota pass defense, and Graham will no doubt get a piece of that action.

Other Notable Pickups

  • Alex Smith (QB - Wsh)

  • Duke Johnson (RB - Hou)

  • Jordan Wilkins (RB - Ind)

  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR - GB)

  • Logan Thomas (TE - Wsh)
